In 1880 Louis-Alexandre Marnier-Lapostolle created the famous Grand Marnier liqueur. The smooth alliance of carefully selected cognacs, aged at the chateau of Bourg-Charente, and a rare tropical fruit, the Citrus bigaradia bitter orange, are blended to give this unique liqueur.

Today the company is run by the 5th and 6th generation members of the Marnier-Lapostolle family.
