Golf is a great sport for men of Women of all ages and is fantastic for children too. Not only does it get them away from the Games Consul/Computer screen but it also helps develop a range of personal skills and qualities that will help them later in life - honesty, respect, co-operation, self motivation, concentration and perseverance

Hadden Hill currently offers free and subsidized coaching to local schoolchildren wishing to get involved in the game

Our Golf Pro Ian visits all the Local Primary Schools introducing the Sport within the school timetable and this Summer 6 children from each school who have received some coaching within the schools will be invited to play in the Par 3 Competition on Mondays at 4pm throughout April & May at The Club. Funded by the South Oxfordshire Sport Development this Competition will have no entry fee and you should soon receive details through your school.

Students from St Birinus School Didcot & Didcot Girls School also come to the Club for Golf Tuition and will be invited to Play in The Thame Oxford & Vale Inter – School Competition at Hadden Hill Golf Club on Monday 22nd June and the admission is absolutely free!

Meanwhile why don’t you come down to the Saturday morning drop-in for juniors interested in learning the game at 9 am.

Juniors from 5 years onwards receive 45 minutes of Coaching from Andrew Bayliss for £3. You can then book for an 8 week course which has been designed to improve all areas of golf – woods irons bunker play & Putting as well as using their newly learned skills on the academy par 3 course.

A BBC survey found that 83% of parents would like to see their children do more sport and that 99% of parents think that their role is important in encouraging children to participate in sport or physical activity.
