March 2013 - Bonus recipe
Two more recipes to give different flavours to a plain tomato sauce. If you like it hot, add lots of chilli (or less if you are feeding children) to your Amatriciana sauce to spice it up! And instead of adding chopped lemon, garlic and parsley to your prawn sauce, you could add some fresh pesto sauce made with fresh basil, pine nuts and garlic. CHEESE CROÛTES - To eat with our Grandmother’s Chicken Noodle Soup, try these simple Cheese Croûtes. STUFFED PARATHAS - Eat with our Mullagatawny soup or anytime with a curry or just a salad. They freeze well, fun to make and you may vary the stuffing. Try adding cauliflower, cooked lentils or minced meat.
